On April 25, 2019, SamTrans, Caltrain, the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), and public transportation systems across the country will celebrate the 1st annual National Get On Board Day. It’s a day to encourage people to get out of their cars and ride public transportation. Riding public transit is an economical way to save money, particularly when gas prices are high while reducing traffic.
What are We Doing?
Selfie Giveaway: Snap a photo of yourself (or your shoes, or your view from he vehicle) and tag us on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook ad we’ll send you a gift (could be a tee-shirt, squeezy stress bus or USB stick) as a “Thank You” for riding. See rules below*
Giveaway Rules: Photo must be taken between April 23 and April 25, 2019 and reflect the entrant’s ride on SamTrans during that time frame. The term “selfie” may apply to any photo that shows the entrant utilized SamTrans between 4/23 to 4/25/19. Participants must tag one of the official SamTrans or Caltrain Twitter, Facebook or Instagram accounts and submit their photo in a post. Can also enter by emailing socialmedia@samtrans.com. One prize per person. No employees of the San Mateo County Transit District, Caltrain, SamTrans, SMCTA, or affiliated contractors or operators may enter. Prize can be delivered via mail or picked up at San Mateo County Transit District at 1250 San Carlos Ave, San Carlos CA, 94070 during business hours. Prizes will be random and may include a SamTrans tee-shirt, USB stick, SamTrans squeaze stress bus or other item. Giveaway applies to SamTrans passengers only.
That was a nice gesture SAM TRANS to invite us for a free ride on June 16 and to give us a gift and free snacks after our ride. I personally appreciate your generosity and would like to thank you in advance. Now where will I catch the Sam trans as I live in Los Prados St. , San Mateo and our cross St is Hillsdale Blvd. Can I catch my ride from along Hillsdale Blvd where it stops?
