It’s the event that foodies love and vampires hate. The Gilroy Garlic Festival takes place July 26-28 at Christmas Hill Park! Enjoy live music, lots of food, drinks, art, and the Miss Gilroy Garlic Festival Pageant! Festival times are as follows:
Take Caltrain’s Garlic Train on Saturday and Sunday to get you to the festival! This specially chartered train departs San Jose Diridon at 10 a.m. for nonstop round trip service to Gilroy Station, where a shuttle bus will then take you to/from the festival. At 3 p.m., a bus will take you back to the Gilroy Station where the train will depart at 4 p.m.
This ticket must be purchased in advanced online – tickets will not be avialble at Caltrain stations. Connecting trips on Caltrain Peninsula weekend service trains 422, 435, or 803 are included in the price of the ticket and on the same day of the event. Riders will still have to switch trains to board the special service trains at San Jose Diridon Station.
So bring your appetite and your Altoids, and ride Caltrain to get you in the middle of all the fun.
