Pride @ San Francisco: The San Francisco Pride Parade is upon us, and if you’re coming out and want the world to know, Caltrain is your best bet to get there. Caltrain is offering four special service trains for Pride on Sunday, June 30, so whether you’re an early riser or need your beauty sleep, we’ve got a train for you. Added bonus, we’ll be handing out complementary stickers in case you need a little bit of extra flair.
Soccer @ Stanford: Everyone loves an intra-state rivalry, so come on down and see the San Jose Earthquakes take on the LA Galaxy at Stanford Stadium on Saturday, June 29. Tickets are still available, and there’s a free fireworks show after the game for those unwilling to wait a week to watch things explode patriotically. Take Caltrain to the Stanford stop, and check off another venue where you’ve chanted “Beat LA” till you’re hoarse.
The End of This Week In Transit @ Right Here in Front of You: It’s been fun telling y’all about what’s up in transit-related matters for the past five years, but all good things must come to an end. But if you want to find out how to get to local happenings via Caltrain and SamTrans, fear not! We’ll be posting local events right here on our blog at https://peninsulamoves.org/events/, so check it out! We’re still populating the calendar this week, so soon you’ll be able to find all sorts of cool things to do on the Peninsula without needing a car to reach them. So bookmark it today, and be a person in the know.
