Not So Silent Night @ SAP Center in San Jose

What started out as a small holiday acoustic concert in the early 90’s, ALT 105.3’s “Not So Silent Night” has become the South Bay’s musical event of the season. This year’s lineup of artists at San Jose’s SAP Center on Saturday, December 8, includes Florence + The Machine, Bastille, Elle King, CHVRCHES and many more. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. With a $25 parking fee, taking Caltrain to San Jose Diridon becomes a no-brainer. 49ers vs. Broncos @ Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara

As always, sports fans are encouraged to take advantage of public transit services to Levi’s Stadium for Sunday’s 49ers vs. Broncos football game. Caltrain riders can connect directly to VTA light rail service at the Mountain View station. Depending on when you’re planning to arrive at/depart Levi’s Stadium, keep in mind that the weekend schedule includes bullet trains serving the Mountain View station, which will reduce travel time.

The Nutcracker @ Fox Theatre in Redwood City

If you’re interested in seeing a performance of the Nutcracker, but don’t want to trek into San Francisco, give the Fox Theatre in Redwood City a try instead. This historic downtown theatre is hosting Ballet America’s Nutcracker 2018 for three weekend performances on Friday and Sunday, December 7 and 9. The show features a cast of 100 local dancers and a slightly reduced run time of 90 minutes. There’s also a special VIP experience available for purchase, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the production, costumes and a photo op with the dancers. The theatre is a block away from the Redwood City Caltrain station. Check the latest weekday/weekend train schedules to plan your transit to the show.

SamTrans Stuff a Bus Toy Drive @ Serramonte Center in Daly City

Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the SamTrans Holiday Bus and help us Stuff a Bus. The specially decorated Holiday Bus will be parked in front of Jamba Juice at 3 Serramonte Center. All donations will benefit the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots and the Salvation Army’s Season of Giving programs. We’ll also be providing hot chocolate, cookies and SamTrans giveaways. WiLD 94.9’s on-air talent Gabby Diaz will be there from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help promote the toy drive. Take advantage of the many SamTrans bus lines that serve the Serramonte Shopping Center: 16, 28, 112, 120, 121, 122 and 130.
