Cycle for Hope @ Palo Alto: If you like biking and saving the world (as if there was a difference, am I right?) then you’re probably well aware of the 1st Habitat for Humanity Cycle for Hope that’s taking place at the Hewlett Packard campus in Palo Alto. With a kids’ course all the way up to a 100 mile run, there’s a way for cyclists of all skill levels to raise money for this noble cause. And if you’re going to be riding all day, the less-than-two-mile trip from the California Avenue Caltrain Station should be a piece of cake.

Evil Dead @ San Jose: Halloween is upon us, just in case you were confused at seeing Cheryl from Accounting dressed like Wonder Woman. So while some of us will be out trick-or-treating with family, stealing the mini Snickers out of our children’s buckets while they’re distracted, the rest of you are looking for a place to party in the middle of the week. Look no further than Evil Dead: The Musical, at the San Jose Stage Company. This blood-soaked epic is running every day till Saturday, November 3, so you can catch Caltrain down to San Jose Diridon after your shift at S-Mart and take a short walk to see it in person. Your president would want you to.

Caltrain Bike Survey: Do you ride your bike to Caltrain? Do you have a compulsive need to take surveys? Then the Caltrain Bike Access Survey is for you! Caltrain is seeking your input in order to shape its approach to providing bike parking and bike share options at stations throughout the system. The survey is live until Sunday, November 11, so let us know how we can make your life easier. Otherwise that one very insistent guy who wants a parking spot for his dogsled is going to run the table on this thing.
