Diwali Festival @ Cupertino: It seems like just a little while ago that it was Holi, and now we’re already in Diwali season. Where does the time go? Cupertino’s 16th Annual Diwali Festival of Lights will be held this Saturday, October 13, in Memorial Park. With Indian food, music and dancing, as well as a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and all sorts of other fun for the kids, this will be a Diwali you won’t soon forget. Take Caltrain to the Sunnyvale Station, where you can catch the VTA 54 or 55 to the park.
Kasayahan @ Daly City: Just in time for Filipino-American History Month, Kasayahan Sa Daly City 2018 is here, bringing food, music, and fun for the whole family. Held at Marchbank Park this Saturday, October 13, this event allows attendees a chance to experience Filipino culture firsthand, which means I’m gonna go and get my sisig on. If you’re interested, take BART to Daly City, or the SamTrans 118 and 121 will get you there as well.
Possible Changes to Route 280: SamTrans is contemplating changing its Route 280, eliminating the Palo Alto stretch and replacing it with a loop by Menlo Atherton High School. If you have an opinion, please share it with us in our online survey, or join us at a public meeting at the Menlo Park Senior Citizens Center this Thursday, October 11, at 6:30 p.m. If you’re planning on being there in person, be real about it and take the 280 to get there (the 281 has got your back as well.)
