If you’re serious about healthy living and getting the mind into a state of peak performance, you might want to check out the New Living Expo at the San Mateo County Event Center, beginning this Friday, April 27.

Running through Sunday and with a post conference on Monday, the event is set to feature new-age healers and other healthy-living enthusiasts.  There will be more than a hundred influential authors, experts and practitioners who will present various lectures, workshops and experiential special events. Programs designed to “enhance awareness, creativity and mindfulness in an ever expanding and complex world,” according to organizers.

Attendees can get to the event easily and in a relaxed state by taking multiple public transportation options. The San Mateo County Event Center is a less-than-one-mile walk from both the Hillsdale and Hayward Park Caltrain stations. Riders coming from the north can ride Caltrain to the Millbrae Transit Center and take a free shuttle to the event center. It runs continuously every 30 minutes from half an hour before the show starts until one hour after it ends.

SamTrans’ Route ECR travels on El Camino Real and stops a few blocks away from the event center, as does route 292.

Attendees who bring their Caltrain ticket or Clipper card to the expo box office on the day of the event can save $5 on their general admission ticket.
