Pacific Coast Dream Machines: Gearheads rejoice, for this Sunday, April 29, is time once again for Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, now in its 28th year. They’ve got cars, motorcycles, tractors, planes and anything else capable of going “vroom”. The event is held at the Half Moon Bay Airport, conveniently located on Samtrans Route 17, which is easily accessed from the north or the south, and sparing you the humiliation of parking your Ford Fiesta next to this bad boy.

Open Gate Touch-A-Truck: If you’re seeking to satisfy a younger audience of car fans, Redwood City is the place to be. The Open Gate Nursery School is holding its 7th annual Touch-A-Truck, allowing children of all ages to climb all over fire trucks, race cars and an official SamTrans bus. Located in downtown Redwood City, the event is a short walk from the Redwood City Caltrain Station.

TeenTechSF@Playstation: When I was younger, I failed to understand that being a nerd has its benefits. The rise of Silicon Valley has delivered former denizens of their own lockers to the highest heights of modern capitalism. If you know a young person that wants to geek out and get paid, then TeenTechSF’s event at Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo is the place to be. This free event lets teens play with a range of gadgets and learn how to craft them into the next big thing. The SamTrans 256 connects the Hillsdale Caltrain Station to the venue, so let this be the bus ride that starts the next digital revolution.
