International Children’s Festival: From what I hear, children are the future. More importantly, soon enough it’ll be Saturday and they’ll be sitting on your couch complaining that they’re bored. Thankfully, just a short walk from the San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station, the 9th International Children’s Festival comes to Discovery Meadow. This free affair has food and entertainment from around the world, and a bevy of children’s activities. If you see a tired looking man chasing two twin boys, please say hello.
Naked Bike Ride: This Sunday, April 22, is Earth Day, meaning there is no shortage of clean-up activities to participate in this weekend. But if you want to make sure you have even tan lines for the day of, the 8th Annual Earth Day World Naked Bike Ride may be the event for you. Located at the Ferry Building, just a short ride from the San Francisco Caltrain Station, this event brings cyclists, hippies, tree-huggers, nudists and otter enthusiasts together to ride in style. NOTE FROM LEGAL: Caltrain would like to remind you to keep it covered until you get off the train.
SamTrans Survey: SamTrans is currently conducting a rider survey in order to better shape our fare policy to meet the public’s needs. We’re targeting 11 routes, so if you see a survey-taker on your bus, please take the time to fill out the survey or get a link to take it at home. The long-term fiscal health of SamTrans depends on you (not to make you feel self-conscious or anything).
