Week In Transit (1)

Annie the Musical: We live in cynical times. There are a lot of reasons that are too heavy to get into on a transit blog, but since the Holidays are upon us, it’s worth pushing that world-weariness aside to make room for a little naïve optimism as delivered by a singing red-headed orphan. The Hillbarn Theatre is showing Annie from December 14-17, and will get you started on the path that leaves you crying at the end of It’s a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve. Take the SamTrans 251 from the Hillsdale Caltrain Station, and find out if the sun will come out tomorrow (Spoiler alert: it does!).

That Movie You Might Have Heard About: Let’s be real; You, and everybody else on the planet is going to see The Last Jedi this weekend. In anticipation of every movie theater parking lot looking like Alderaan five minutes after the Death Star pulled up, you should use Caltrain, as our San Bruno, San Mateo, Redwood City, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, and San Jose Diridon stations are close enough to local theaters that you can bullseye a womprat from the platform. Just remember, when it comes to avoiding crowds, there is no try.

Third Street Bridge Closure: The Third Street Bridge, located near our San Francisco Caltrain Station, will be closed to cars, bikes and pedestrians until Friday, January 26, 2018. If want to gaze across McCovey Cove at AT&T Park and dream of next season, we recommend either crossing at 4th Street or bringing a boat.
