Now that summer is upon us, parents are eager to get their kids active and out of the house. This Sunday, the third annual Family Fitness Fun Expo at Washington Park, 898 Burlingame Ave., in Burlingame offers the perfect opportunity.
Whether you’re a health nut or a beginner, you’re invited to participate in this invigorating outdoor program that promotes the importance of physical education and healthy living to people of all ages.
The event offers exercise stations and a full schedule of fitness demonstrations and musical acts for both children and adults, and a variety of health-conscious vendors and businesses will also have representatives present to speak with guests and support the objective of the program.
As a sponsor of the event, SamTrans staff will be on-hand to provide information about the many Bay Area public transit options for youth, adults, seniors and veterans.
For those interested in taking public transit to the event, participants can hop on SamTrans Routes 292 or ECR to get them to the event or they can take Caltrain and exit at the Burlingame station, which is across the street from Washington Park.
