CuriOdyssey Cinema Nights: Located in scenic Coyote Point, CuriOdyssey offers up education fun for fans of animals, nature and science. This Friday, June 16, they’ll be showing a series of short films in the museum aimed at a young audience. You can get to Coyote Point by taking the SamTrans 252 from the San Mateo Caltrain Station and also get an opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of the park on your walk in.

Oxfam Refugee Road: Oxfam represents an international confederation of nonprofits and charitable organizations that has been fighting global poverty since 1942. Tonight, June 12, they’re holding a free interactive event at the Microsoft Conference Center that will give participants a firsthand look at the challenges faced by Syrian refugees. The event is free, and promises to be an impactful and unforgettable experience. Attendees can ride the VTA 40 from near the San Antonio Caltrain Station and be a part of this rare opportunity to step into another’s shoes.

Silicon Valley Bike Summit: The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, in partnership with the San Mateo County Office of Education, is holding its 7th Annual Bike Summit on Tuesday, August 8. Featuring Tamika Butler, Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, the summit will focus on how to make biking safer, easier and more popular. If you get around on two wheels on the Peninsula, this is an event worth checking out.
