Kidchella 2017:  Let’s face it; most of us are too old for Coachella. The idea of sleeping on dirt and partying for days loses its appeal as youthful exuberance gives way to adultier responsibilities. This makes you the perfect audience for Kidchella, where your children can rock out to their heart’s content. Purple Fox and the Heebie Jeebies will be gracing the Courthouse Square in Redwood City with their kid-friendly jams, and with the Redwood City Caltrain Station just a few blocks away, it offers a fun-filled Sunday.

Roger Waters at SAP: Pink Floyd alumnus Roger Waters has been a busy man for a 73-year-old rock star. This Wednesday, June 7, he’ll be bringing his spacey, dystopian sound to the SAP Center, which is about as close as it can be to the San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station. After all, the name of the game is riding the gravy train.

BART Transparency: BART has begun sharing criminal reports at crimemapping.com, allowing riders to get a better picture as to the goings-on on the BART line. In the words of BART Police Chief Carlos Rojas, “This new effort reflects my department’s commitment to transparency and community oriented policing. Now anyone with an Internet connection will be able to see our crime data.  These incidents will be displayed in the context of the various communities served by BART.”

Route Elimination Hearing: After a series of community meetings on the subject of the elimination of routes 11, 43, and 89, the SamTrans Board of Directors is prepared to vote on the matter tomorrow, June 7, at their 2 p.m. meeting at 1250 San Carlos Ave. in San Carlos.
