Redwood Citystravaganza: Redwood City is popping this month. Between its 150th Anniversary festivities and other activities, downtown RWC is the place to be, whether you’re down for a chicken wing festival, an Art & Flower Exhibition, more new exhibits at the San Mateo County History Museum, or playing Minecraft on the big screen at Cinemark 20. As always, if you catch Caltrain to the Redwood City Station, all this and more will be at your fingertips.
The Prettiest of all Post Apocalypses: So Mad Max: Fury Road was the coolest thing ever, right? So good that you can’t possibly see it too many times, right? Then rally your war boys and get to the Gray Area Theater at 23rd and Mission to see it in black and white as George Miller did as he was filming, and as an added bonus hear a new live soundtrack performed by San Francisco electronic pop fusion duo The Firmament. And since you clearly don’t want to squander precious guzzoline, you should ride our shiny and chrome Caltrain to BART and get off at the 24th & Mission Station. What a lovely day!
Bike Parking Assistance Needed: The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition is seeking volunteers to help park bikes at a series of local events. With the Google I/O Developers Festival, a U2 Concert and the Maker Faire coming up, they need all hands on deck to help valet and guard bikes. If you’re interested, check out their Event Calendar and sign up today.
