Waterbar Easter Brunch: Whether or not you spend Sunday morning in church, Easter calls for brunch. If you’re feeling more than the standard pancakes and eggs, make your way to the Embarcadero’s Waterbar and do it big. Reservations are recommended, and you can easily make it there after a short stroll from the San Francisco Caltrain station at 4th and King. Then you can nosh on twice-cooked pork belly and grits, smoked tri-tip loco moco over gochujang fried rice, and cocoa nib bread pudding just like mom used to make (provided your mother is an award-winning chef).
Crouching Tiger @ Asian Art Museum: Ang Lee’s masterpiece Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is the sort of visual spectacle that demands the big screen. Thankfully, the good people at the Asian Art Museum agree, and will be hosting a showing at 6:45 p.m. this Friday, April 14. Take Caltrain to BART, get off at Civic Center, take a quick walk to 200 Larkin, and prepare to be dazzled by wuxia majesty.
Volunteer for Bike to Work Week: Bay Area Bike to Work Day is coming up on May 11, but volunteer trainings have already begun. Catch the next one at 6 p.m. on April 18 at the Redwood City Public Library, so you can help enable bikers throughout the Bay Area to swap four wheels for two and keep our air cleaner and our roads emptier. The library is quite close to the Redwood City Caltrain Station, and our bike cars are happy to have you.
