This weekend, the Santa Clara County Convention Center offers adventurers and world travelers a treat, with the Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show.

Doors open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday for the 8^th annual staging of the travel exposition. Caltrain’s weekend schedule offers plenty of opportunities to reach the event, most easily from the Mountain View Caltrain Station to the VTA 902.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at ticket vending machines at the stations. Adventure and travel enthusiasts are encouraged to purchase an adult joint Caltrain/VTA Day Pass at Caltrain ticket machines to avoid long lines after the show. The pass costs $6 more than the regular adult Caltrain Day Pass, but it is valid for unlimited rides within zone limits on Caltrain through the last train of the day, and until 3 a.m. on VTA.

Customers using Clipper e-cash receive a 15 percent discount for each one-way trip. Clipper cash value and 8-ride Ticket customers must tag on at their origin station and again at their destination station.
