Polk Street Valentine Wine Walk: Wine lovers can enjoy their significant other a little vino at the upcoming Polk Street Valentine Wine Walk Thursday, February 9, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Polk Street from Union to Post streets. People interested in the event can take Caltrain to the San Francisco station and transfer to MUNI to get them to their final destination.
Donuts – is there anything they can’t do?: Donut fans and East Coast transplants rejoice! Dunkin Donuts opens its first location in South San Francisco on Wednesday, February 1, at 5 a.m. Located at 180 S. Airport Blvd., just to the east of 101, it’s a reasonable walk from the South San Francisco Caltrain Station (a walk that would totally justify you picking up two donuts instead of one).
Public Hearing for BART Extension: The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority has been holding environmental public hearings on the proposed BART Silicon Valley extension, the last of which will take place tonight, January 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at San Jose City Hall, 200 East Santa Clara St. Come see the plans for the proposed stations and stay informed as to the next steps in this ambitious plan to expand transit options for the entire Bay Area.
