Treasure Island Music Festival:  The 10th Annual Treasure Island Music Festival will be held this weekend, October 15 & 16. The show will feature a music line-up that includes rap superstar Ice Cube and Sigur Rós, headlining on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.  Because of the City’s future plans to redevelop Treasure Island, this will be the last music festival on the island.  Due to construction on the island, concert organizers have provided festival-goers with public transportation options. The Circus is in Town:  The Zoppé Italian Family Circus takes family entertainment to new heights this year, performing matinée and evening shows now through October 23 under the intimate, one-ring tent in Red Morton Park in Redwood City.  The Zoppé Circus brings an all new show called “Ricominciare,” with an amazing lineup of performers featuring La Tarumba equestrian arts, a flying trapeze show and jugglers.  Attendees can take SamTrans Route 274 to the circus by off boarding at the Jefferson Avenue and Ave Del Ora stop, which is a two minute walk from the big top.

Who Wants Bacon:  Moveable Feast is hosting the 4th Annual Bacon Festival of America on October 15 & 16t from noon to 7 p.m. at Plaza de Cesar Chavez in the heart of Downtown San Jose.  Join more than 12,000 people celebrating the bacon lifestyle. There will be 45 bacon food trucks, local craft beer and tastings, live bands, and a Family Camp presented by Mix 106.5 and KBAY. The festival will be held rain or shine and bacon lovers can ride Caltrain for part of their trip to the event.  Festival-goers can take Caltrain to the San Jose Diridon Station and then transfer to VTA’s Light Rail Route 902 to the Convention Center stop, which is a four minute walk from the festival site.
